Nomination papers are in, and we're pleased to introduce the Green Party candidate standing in Wood Green in the June 8 General Election - Sam Hall, a local dad, husband, therapist and environmental consultant.
Sam believes passionately that we need to live in balance with our environment. He’s worked as an environmental manager in local government and for large construction companies. He now runs his own environmental consultancy business with his wife from the shed at the top of their garden. He’s the proud father of two girls and shares the working week and childcare with his wife. He also volunteers at Mind in Haringey as a counsellor.
As a kid his room was full of plants and animals, and his life is still all about living green. He's passionate about campaigning to make Hornsey & Wood Green a better place to live for everyone, from tackling air pollution so that our children aren't exposed to dirty fumes on their way to school, to fighting for affordable housing and opposing the privatisation of public assets in Haringey.
"I'm standing for the Greens in Hornsey and Wood Green because I believe environmental issues aren't given enough weight. As a father and a local resident I want to make sure we breath fresh air and our kids engage with nature. A green vote is a vote for life. From nature to human wellbeing the Greens make the links between social, environmental and economic issues. In a way that no other party does. Health and wellbeing at the personal and global level is something that we can all agree is important, but only the greens can really deliver."
Please vote for the Green Party's Sam Hall on June 8!
